Mason (Skip) Irving, III
For over 30 years Skip Irving has been advising companies on business strategy, product commercialization, R&D planning and business development in the biotech, pharmaceutical and medical products industries. As an advisor to Red Sky Partners, he works with senior management, boards of directors and investors on a range of strategy, product planning, financing and business development issues in the industry.
Skip serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Most recently, Skip served as Vice President for Noveome Biotherapeutics, a Pittsburgh-based biotechnology company. Skip is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New England, a member of the College Corporation at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and serves on the Board of Overseers for Mount Auburn Hospital.
In his role as Managing Director at Health Advances, Skip helped build a leading life-science focused management consulting firm with over 100 professional staff, which was recently sold to Parexel. Skip’s clients included a wide range Fortune 500 companies, venture-backed start-up companies and not-for-profit disease foundations in the US, Europe and Japan. He helped found and served on the Board of t-Breeders Inc, a cellular therapy company eventually sold to Perkin Elmer. Skip previously served as Vice President and Director of Worldwide Healthcare Consulting at Arthur D. Little, Inc. Skip also worked in manufacturing and quality assurance for AstraZeneca plc.
Skip has an MBA at the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College, and has a BS in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
